Nice cappuccino
Sometimes, a little extra service goes a long way. No, make that always.
I was just having a regular business lunch at this unassuming, nondescript Parkview Café at Level 1, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. There were four of us and one of them was Stan, and knowing him, I really should have known better.
We all ended up ordering pasta plus some soft drinks, and some coffee afterwards. What can I say... the pasta was really good. And when I say good, you better believe me cause I'm probably one of the fussiest eaters out there.
But I was really surprised when the cappuccinos came. They actually took the trouble to have our names on the coffee froth! Not that I've never seen this before but well, this practice is usually only done for special occasions. And the most important thing is this - it was actually one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had. I was told that the F&B manager for one of the top hotels in KL (I'm not saying which) even came to check this out.
Obviously, it's not a cheap place to lunch at, but neither was it over the top expensive. After Stan's discount the bill was was about RM133, and that includes 4 pastas, 5 soft drinks, and 2 cappuccinos. Not too bad... Well, with the fuel and electricity price increases announced last night, hmm... it's expensive!
So, depending on your luck i.e. when there's no major exhibition going on, and you happen to be around KLCC area and you feel like treating youself to a nice lunch/meal at a quiet place, you know where to go! ![]()
